Nigerian Ready for the Governorship Elections

The exercise will take place in 29 of the country’s 36 states.
Seven states – Kogi, Bayelsa, Ekiti, Osun, Ondo, Edo and Anambra – will not hold elections because their governors have not finished their four-year terms.
The turnout for the state elections is expected to be higher than the 35.5% in last month’s presidential election, down from 44% in 2015.

INEC postpones assembly election in Adamawa

The Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed the House of Assembly election for the Nasarawa / Binyeri State Constituency of Adamawa State.
Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state , Mr Kashim Gaidam, disclosed this to the newsmen on Thursday in Yola.

Here’s the full list of the Newly Elected Senators

From the list released so far by the electoral body, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has 64 senators-elect so far, while the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has only 41. Another political party, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has one senator-elect.

Igbo Traders Attacked in Lagos

Apc wins 62 senatorial seats, PDP wins 35

The results, which were officially released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the senatorial districts, showed that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party had won 35 seats in the ninth Senate.
The Young Progressive Party won a seat in Anambra State.
In the South-West, out of the 17 results released so far, the APC had won 14 seats, while the PDP clinched three. The commission has yet to release the result of the Ondo South election, which was declared inconclusive.

The Peoples Democratic Party, has cleared all votes cast at the two polling units at Amachalla Primary School Mpu, in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.
