After hours of plea by a good samaritan named Mr. Ukan as well as other well meaning individuals, Dr Ijoko and Dr Yima of the Foundation Memorial Hospital, Makurdi have succeded in carrying out an operation on little Masengen as she delivered a baby girl.
According to Dr Yima, he decided to carry out the surgery and bear the cost considering the circumstances facing the little girl’s pregnancy which needs urgent attention.
Masengeen, 10, gave birth in the early hours of today August 5, 2019 and the baby weigh 2.5kg. This little girl needs support to take care of the new baby.
At the moment she needs baby bath, diapers, wiper, Comfit pad, Mosiquito net, Detergent, pegs, Dryer, latex gloves, cotton wool, baby food, flask beverages among others.
Investigation revealed that little Masengen, a native of Benue State( Tiv) is an orphan and a resident of Internally Displaced Persons Camp located in Benue State.
Sources disclosed that she was a victim of abuse and constant rape by unknown person and yesterday August 4, 2019, she was first dumped at General Hospital by yet to be identified person along Northbank area of Benue State before good samaritan in the person of Mr Ukan took her to Foundation Memorial Hospital, Makurdi, Benue State.
While at Foundation Memorial Hospital a certain man (names withheld), claimed he is an uncle to the little girl but seems inchorent in his presentation and knowledge about the girl.
