Bill Clinton cancels trip to meet Atiku & Buhari

Former US President, Bill Clinton, has cancelled his trip to Nigeria, ahead of Saturday’s general elections, saying the visit could be “politicized”. Clinton was scheduled to visit Abuja this week, alongside Baroness Patricia Scotland, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. The planned trip was facilitated by the Kofi Annan Foundation and the National Peace Committee (NPC).

Enugu Police Arrest a woman dedicating a stolen child in church

56-year-old woman, Edith Ewulu, has been arrested by men of the Enugu state police command for allegedly abducting  a five-year-old girl, Felicia Godwin, in Emene, Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State and attempting to dedicate her in church. Ewulu was arrested in a new generation church while attempting to dedicate the kidnapped child abducted while she was playing on February 6th.

Joy Villa arrived at the Grammys wearing pro-trump dress

Joy Villa showed her support for US President Donald Trump by attending the 61st Grammy Awards in a gown dedicated to Trump's controversial US-Mexico border wall. The 27-year-old singer wore a white dress with a black painting on it that made it look like a brick wall. At the shoulder, the dress had barbed wires, giving the overall impression of a barbed wired fence. She also carried a bag which had Trump’s slogan 'Make America Great Again' emblazoned on it.

Son Destroys N10m Worth of Substandard Goods in Osun

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) on Monday said N10 million substandard and expired goods were confiscated and destroyed in Osun in 2018.   Mr Jerome Umoru, the SON Coordinator in the state, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo.   Umoru said the substandard goods were confiscated by SON officials during the raid of some supermarkets and major markets in the state.

Jumia Food denies MD’s arrest

In a press statement yesterday on behalf of the management of Jade Internet Services, owners of Jumia Food, Oni said that a report that Mr Futi was arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force, Zone II, for fraud allegation and conversion of company’s funds for personal use was a mere fabrication. The current Country Manager of Jumia Food Nigeria, Mr, Guy Futi, neither misappropriated the company’s funds nor converted them for personal use. If this had happened, Jumia would have taken legal action against him, and probably involved the press.

Soldiers kill 2 youths at Imo APC rally

The ruling All Progressives Congress and main opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State have engaged in accusations and denials as soldiers shoot dead two young men in Oguta Local Area of the state. A clash between soldiers and some youths that Imo State Commissioner of Police described as cult members has allegedly left two civilians dead at Ejemekwuru in Oguta Local Area of Imo State.
