Four-Nation Invitational Tournament: China Ladies Trash Super Falcons

The Super Falcons were thrashed 3-0 in the opening game of the four-Nation Invitational tournament currently going on in China. They were roundly beaten by the host on Thursday. China scored in the the 9th minute of the game through Zhang Rui. The other goals for the Chinese Ladies came in the 65th minutes with a fine finish from Li Ying off an assist from Wu Shuiang.

ASUU gives conditions to suspend strike

“The Academic Staff Union of Universities @ASUUNGR have asked @AsoRock to release N50 billion to demonstrate its commitment to the revitalisation of public universities, in line with previous agreements with the union,” ASUU tweeted. The union said the N50 billion will form the first share of the N220 billion federal government agreed for the project this year and add to the N20 billion earlier released for the year.

UNILAG TV begins airing as first Nigeria campus station

“The new and the first campus television station would fly on the platform of StarTimes digital broadcast Channel, 184. The TV station which boasts of state of the art technical facilities would deliver premier local, national and international news as they unfold,” UNILAG deputy registrar Adebisi Seth Dare said in a statement. Dare said, “The new station, will also serve as a reference point in sports, documentaries, quality entertainment, and as an instrument of educational advancement.”
